Brian and partners remodeled a bathroom for us. They arrived on time each day,
cleaned up EVERYTHING each day and were a pleasure to have in the house. They
planned well, were diligent and paid attention to detail. Instead of the usual rectangular
window sill, Brian designed an attractive curved one. He also recommended an
engineer to help draw up a plan based on what we knew we wanted. We are very
pleased with their work and would highly recommend them.
Brian was FANTASTIC from start to finish. When we first met with him while trying to choose a contractor, it was clear from the initial meeting that he knew his trade inside and out. He started the job in Dec 2021 and completed by end of March 2022. He went above and beyond and was on the job EVERY day vs other contractors that juggle multiple jobs at the same time. He and his small team were responsive to our continually evolving needs and added some of our side projects along the way to fill for supply chain delivery delays. Brian is a meticulous, and perfectionist craftsman with great design sense and you couldn’t go wrong in selecting him and his team.
We find Brian to be highly talented and his work is truly exceptional. Over the course
of the past 8 years, Brian has worked on many different areas of our house, both
inside and out, from a kitchen remodel, to building a garage, to constructing an entire two story addition
to the front of our house that is both functional and seamless aesthetically.
In addition to these big projects, he has done many smaller ones throughout the house.
We keep coming back to Brian because we have the utmost confidence in his work

Fairwood Builders and Brian Fitzpatrick completed two major renovations for us. We are extremely pleased with the work!
The first renovation, completed a decade ago, was an addition to the house that included
a foundation, expansion of the existing kitchen and a new room. Brian created a beautiful
design! For example, he suggested making the kitchen ceiling joining the second room a cathedral.
It was a beautiful and excellent idea! His eye for detail, his fine carpentry as
well as his overall professionalism are noteworthy. They put on a new roof and painted
the house, at this time, and did a fabulous job. His work is of the highest quality and
there have been no issues since it was completed. We are always getting compliments on the kitchen!
The second renovation was a bathroom gut and rebuild. Because we only have one full
bath, and we live & work in our house, this was a real challenge and Brian made it work.
The space he created, like our kitchen, is magnificent. His design suggestions, fine work
including carpentry & tiling are spectacular. We feel that this space is a work of love.
While he was here, we asked him to do a smaller renovation to our 3 season porch, that
he reframed and installed new windows. He used materials and put in drains to minimize
moisture on the porch and really turned it into another beautiful and usable room.
During the course of both constructions, Brian and his assistant worked only this job.
They used dust barriers to minimize the mess and cleaned up every day impeccably. The
plumber, electrician & other construction folks that he hired were equally capable.
Because I have a home office, he had to navigate my clients coming & going. He did so
with ease & respect. We were really impressed and pleased with his strong work ethic,
caring nature and good humor. We are still thrilled with the fruits of his labor!

I cannot speak highly enough about Brian and Devon. We had a massive home
renovation planned. From the start, Brian was easy to talk to, incredibly patient
with us and our occasional indecisiveness, walked us through each step and each
decision, and offered great advice, including an idea to add a half-bathroom off our
new mudroom to off load traffic from the pool through the house…an idea that we now are thrilled with.
When the time came to start our project, Brian planned as best he could to impose
as little as possible on our day to day life. Dust barriers and drop cloths were placed
daily and at the end of the day, everything was picked up, vacuumed, and cleaned. I
never felt like I was inhaling dust or fumes, something that I was definitely attuned
to as I was pregnant during the entire project. During the kitchen redo, Brian and
Devon set up a make-shift kitchen in our family room, including creating a
temporary counter from our old kitchen counter, moving our refrigerator, and even
hooking up a sink via temporary piping. While it is naturally difficult to be displaced
(especially with two children), I can’t imagine what we would have done had Brian
not gone to the extra effort to make the renovation as tolerable as possible. In fact,
our comfort and convenience factored into many of Brian’s decisions in terms of
plan of attack (as I said, we planned a massive project). Brian and Devon often came
on Saturdays in order to expedite the construction and have it complete by the time I
was due (it was). They were quiet in the mornings if the kids were still asleep and
were always smiling and pleasant when we greeted them each morning. We grew to
expect to see them as part of our morning routine and we loved it; they were great
with the kids, they were great with us, and they did a great job.
As for professionalism, Brian and Devon are both excellent.
While many of my friends have unfortunately had some issues with their contractors,
we had no issues with trust, responsiveness, or workmanship.
The trust factor is huge, as I now realize; I never felt ill at ease leaving my home in the care of Brian and Devon.
Everything was exactly as we had left it every day.
In fact, when painting our living room bay window where the kids have hung various random mobiles over the years,
Devon even went as far as to take a picture with his phone before removing the mobiles
so that he could put them all back in the exact same place
(I wouldn’t have even noticed but it just speaks to how conscientious they are).
When subcontractors came for various aspects of our project,
Brian was always around to supervise and to make sure that our house was safe;
he honestly takes personal responsibility to ensure that all goes well and that there are no issues.
I could go on and on about our positive experience with Brian and Devon. They have
become our family contractors and we call them anytime we have any sort of issue.
In fact just a few weeks ago my husband was out of town and some of our kitchen
appliances lost power (now over a year after our renovation).
I called Brian and he immediately got back to me and walked me through resetting the “gi” and when
that didn’t work, he got on the phone and talked me through the circuit breaker (yes,
embarrassing the old breaker switches were mislabeled and he figured it out on the
phone). It is truly so comforting to know you have such a great person to turn to
when you need help. We feel so lucky to have them!
